| Q: Will the QuikStik products work on my Arai helmet with brow vents? |
| A: Absolutely! Any QuikStik product can be custom fit
with a razor knife or scissors to fit any product. For most shields
this is not necessary. The visor, however, must be cut to fit
around the brow vents on Arai helmets. We have included a template
to help Arai owners get a more accurate cut. Return to Top |
| Q: Can I use the QuikStik Visor with my Fog City shield? |
| A: Yes, this is a great idea! In fact, we recommend using
the QuikStik Visor on the outside of your shield, and the Fog
City applies to the inside of your shield. If you use our visor
with a clear (untinted) Fog City shield, you get the best of
both worlds. You won't have to buy two shields since the QuikStik
visor can be removed, and you will have great anti-fog properties.
Of course, you must not use a tinted Fog City product or tinted
shield and the QuikStik visor at the same time...... you will
make your shield so dark that your vision will be impaired (unless
you are watching a nuclear test, then it might be just right.
We haven't tested this though!) Return to Top |
| Q: Should I put the QuikStik Visor on the inside or outside of my shield? |
| A: You can use it either way. An inside application is
a good way to keep your product from getting dirty easily, and
is easy for shield clean up during a ride. Using the QuikStik
Visor on the outside of the shield provides scratch protection
that results whether you are riding or just carrying your helmet
around. The only time that we don't recommend an outside application
is for highly curved "bubble shields". See
below for "bubble shields". Return to Top |

| Q: I have a "bubble shield" and can't get all
the wrinkles out of my visor. Will this affect performance? |
| A: We recommend an inside application for highly curved
"bubble shields", performance should be fine provided
that any wrinkles that can't be smoothed out are at the sides
of the visor not in the path of direct vision. Most shields are
rather flat and the QuikStik applies nicely, but on bubble shields,
you might not be able to form the visor well enough to the shield
shape. If you leave large wrinkles or gaps at the edge of the
shield on an outside installation, there is a chance that the
wind can get under the visor and pull it off during highway riding.
This is rare, but for this reason we recommend an inside application
in this case. Return to Top |

| A: Please send us the product and original packaging

returned product is postmarked more than 90 days from purchase,
we require a check or money order for $4.00 USD for shipping
and handling. Include your return address and a brief

| Q: Can I clean my visor with glass cleaner? |
| A: Yes you can, but you must follow your helmet manufacturers
instructions to make sure these products are compatible with
your shield. We recommend warm water with dish soap. This works
very well. Always use plenty of liquid when cleaning your visor.
Never use an abrasive cleaner or pad or rub debris off while
dry... this could scratch your QuikStik Visor and helmet shield.
Cleaning your visor while still on your shield is fine and often
most convenient with glass cleaner sprays, but please make sure
these sprays are OK for your helmet. We recommend feeling the
surface of a gas station squeege before using to make sure it
is not rough or filled with grit. A lint free cloth works best
for drying. Return to Top |
| Q: How do I trim my visor and body shield for a custom fit? |
| A: Trimming is easy and is the same for all of our vinyl
products. Use a razor blade, hobby knife, or sharp scissors and
trim as much as you'd like. See our suggestion
for a perfect fit below. Return to Top |
| Q: Should I cut a hole in the QuikStik body shield where my gas cap is? |
| A: You need to consult your bike manual or call the manufacturer
to find out if the tank cap is vented and must be kept open for
proper fuel flow. If so, then trim out a hole for your QuikStik
body shield. Otherwise, leave the shield solid. NEVER leave the
shield in place while refueling and NEVER replace the shield
over spilled gas. This may damage the body shield and trapping
gas on your paint will most certainly damage your tank's finish. Return to Top |
| Q: What is the best way to custom fit my body shield? (or Visor) |
| A: Most times this is not necessary, but some customers
have suggested using plastic wrap to form a template. We've found
this to be simple and very effective. Once you trim your plastic
wrap to the right shape on your bike or shield, peel it off and
lay it out flat on the QuikStik Body shield material. Trim around
the pattern with a razor blade, hobby knife, or scissors. Please
do not trim any material while it is on your shield, tank, or
bodywork; you will damage it no matter how careful you are. Return to Top |
| Q: I'm seeing a glare inside my visor, can I stop this? |
| A: The visor and glare strip material are very dark and
will reflect "hot spots" from the sun that are shining
on your face. This is normally caused by not applying the visor
or glare strip high enough on your shield. Apply high enough
so that no light can sneak through at the top of the shield and
you should be OK. If light is coming through the sides and you
think you need a wider visor or strip, let us know at tech
support. Be sure to provide detailed measurements and your
shield type to explain the problem to us. Return to Top |
